Site Redesign & Redevelopment 2011
Commercial Lighting Products is a national lighting distributor, and wanted to update their website to reach new audiences. Since the site was redesigned in 2009, the solution was to rebuild the content using a CMS, and include a substantial number of new pages, and richer media features.
The Site
Some of the more obvious changes to the site included the rotating images and sidebar features on the main page, an entirely new menu system and navigation structure to allow for individual product pages, and a secure portal to share files between employees. These changes also required updating the server to run the latest scripts, while maintaining corporate email accounts, and incorporating the updated identity and branding of the company. They also paved the way for the inclusion of an e-commerce system at a future date.
